Content Models vs content Types

I find the seemingly interchangeable "content models" / "content types" terminology confusing.It might make more sense if "Content Models" were singular ("Content Model"):  It would make it clearer to users that their content model comprises one or more content types (of which global fields are one kind). In this case, there is a clear distinction: the content type is part of the content model but not vice versa.Or am I missing something?

Proper use of AND Operator, respectively NOT

Hello everyone,I have again a GraphQL related question. We do have a news-type that may be of different kinds (e.g. Topnachrichten which is “Top News” in English) and those may be tagged. Help! The Marketplace app boilerplate code won't compile

I’ve tried following the instructions from the Contentstack website to install the Marketplace app boilerplate but the code won’t compile due to dependency issues. it looks like the boilerplate wants react 18 and venus-components 1.0.5 (which itself appears to need react 16 instead) It seems like maybe the devs have left dozens of unnecessary dependencies in the package.json file. Any ideas of how to get a bare-bones app running?

Does Live Preview with SSR still function?

I am trying to get Live Preview functioning with SSR in NextJS. So far I been consulting these two resources:https://www.contentstack.com/docs/developers/set-up-live-preview/set-up-live-preview-for-your-website/ https://github.com/contentstack/live-preview-next-js-ssrI can’t seem to get the site to render preview content, let alone saved but unpublished content. I am not running the github example above but have employed a similar method in my NextJS site.It is my understanding that for live preview to function it relies on the preview URL containing the necessary parameters to update the Stack object using Stack.livePreviewQuery(context.query). However though I have Live Preview enabled, I only ever see it call my site without adding any querystring, so I’m unsure how this can work.I do have Live Preview working using the example NextJS repo, but this is based on client-side rendering.Should SSR still work and is there something I’m perhaps missing?

Select Text Color in Rich Text Field?

Is there a way to select text color using an RTF field without the content author needing to use html or json? Similar to making a comment here on Community?If there’s no way to do it natively, are there any custom fields available that would do this?

Hello everyone,I am trying to query all contentpage items from our repository that have been updated after a certain point of time, unfortunately that does not work out. To reproduce my issue, I have reduced my query as much as possible.I used this query to demonstrate that we do have content in our system that satisfies the queryquery MyQuery { all_contentpage { items { system { created_at updated_at publish_details { time } uid } } }}As you can see, this delivers several results.When I now add a constraint to only get those items that have been updated after a certain point of time,query MyQuery { all_contentpage(where: {updated_at_gte: "2022-10-11T06:00:00.103Z"}) { items { system { created_at updated_at publish_details { time } uid } } }}I no longer do get results.As you can see in the first result-set, there are several records that have been updated after Oc

Language code format - only lowercase supported?

Hi,The list of supported languages on the documentation page (https://www.contentstack.com/docs/developers/multilingual-content/list-of-supported-languages/) lists all the country code in lowercase.For example, for English(Australia), the language code listed is ‘en-au’.Does Contentstack support UPPERCASE country codes as per the https://datahub.io/core/country-list standard list?For Example - would “en-AU” work ?

How can I get an entry including asset dimensions

I’m using the /entry and /entries endpoints to fetch a data model which includes image assets. It seems that more or less everything about the asset is included, such as the url, the file name, type, size etc except for the dimensions. I came across this document which pointed me towards the include_dimensions=true query parameter when requesting assets directly with /assets, but after some digging through the documentation and trying the request myself it seems like it’s not possible to append this to any of the entry based requests.I’ve also tried changing the model to accept images only as opposed to filtered file types but ultimately that does not change the response from the API.Is there any way to get the information I need without having to make a separate API call just to get the dimensions? It feels like I should be able to control if this gets included when fetching any request that pulls child assets. Ultimately I’d like this information so I can make a number of informed de

I am trying to implement free text search using content stack delivery api. I am thinking to use search query of JavaScript SDK. However, as per documentation search query is deprecated since version 3.15.0. What are the alternatives for implementing free text search using javascript SDK?

Enforce/validate URL field to start with '/'

When you start entering a new string into the URL field of a content type, it defaults to leading with a forwards slash. However, a content editor can remove this and still publish the content (ie “/about” vs “about”). The problem that I have found is that on a NextJS site using SSR the context.resolvedUrl object in getServerSideProps will always return a leading forwards slash. When we query the API with this value, it won’t grab any entries which have had the forwards slash removed by a content editor.  Outside of custom field validation, is there any way around this?

How can I use Hubspot forms on my Headless Contentstack site?

I would like to use the Hubspot forms on my Contentstack site.  I see that I can use their embed form feature to get some JS to use on the frontend to pull in their form.  I was thinking to control this via a Modular Block, so whenever the ‘Hubspot form’ Modular Block is used on the page I will add the HTML snippet to pull in the Hubspot form.  Is this the best way to do it?  https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/how-can-i-share-a-hubspot-form-if-im-using-an-external-siteThanks!

Spell check tool

 What are content managers using as a spell check tool for text fields? Are there any custom widgets / features that can be applied to specific CS fields (ie, headline/body/instructions) for spell check, instead of relying on a browser extension that scans the entire page?

Error calling /assets from CMApi

Access denied when using Branches

Hi there, I am using branches for a new piece of functionality. As far as my understanding goes, I create a branch in contentstack. This allows me to control the content side of things independantly from another branch.If I want to test the front end differences out, I create an alias pointing towards my branch. Then, I take that alias, and I put it in the Contentstack.Stack SDK interface like so: const Stack = contentstack.Stack({  api_key: process.env.CONTENTSTACK_API_KEY,  delivery_token: process.env.CONTENTSTACK_DELIVERY_TOKEN,  environment: process.env.CONTENTSTACK_ENVIRONMENT,  region: process.env.CONTENTSTACK_REGION ? process.env.CONTENTSTACK_REGION : 'us',  branch: 'testalias'});Where testalias is the name of the alias I created. Understanding branches

Hi there, my goal is to understand better the “Branches” functionality that CS has available. I am struggling to understand a few concepts after reading the documentation. This link here has the following:  The development branch will now have a copy of all the content from the main branch (production). With this development branch, the developers can modify the structure, add new changes, iterate, and publish in a testing environment to preview the recent changes. What is unclear to me, is how the developer actually previews changes. I have created a branch off of main: “development”. Inside this development branch, I want to update an entry (this entry already exists because it came from main). I make my updates, and then I go to publish to the development environment. From my understanding, however, publishing to an environment seems useless unless you are using an alias. Unless you add the alias to the contentstack.Stack() sdk, you will always get the main branch’s content. Is my

Single References Entity

When in content stack I setup a single reference in a Content Type to another Content Type that is coming back from the API as an array. Simple example: I have a Content Type called Dog, which has a single reference to an Owner (another Content Type). When I retrieve a dog from the api (/dog/entries?environment=nonprod&locale=en-us&include[]=owner&include_branch=false) I get back a response where owner is an array (this doesn’t make sense to me). Even though in the Content Type settings I can set the reference to 1 or many and have set it to 1. I am wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if this is expected behavior.

Are field validations possible in Contentstack?

Can we perform some form of validation of the Content Fields to restrict Content Editors from making incorrect entries? e.g Max number of characters allowed for a field, restrict special characters in a Name field or validate an email or phone number entry. If I assign the Content Manager role to a user but want to limit them from editing SEO fields is that possible? Or is this not a possibility because of the way the Content Manager Role is configured as it overrides any conditional limitations?

When migrating content that has files attached, is it standard to leverage CS Assets or better to use a 3rd party such as S3?

We are in a scenario where we need to migrate a lot of content, all of which has a PDF attached. Should we use an S3 bucket for this, or is uploading all these assets to ContentStack considered standard?
