What's New in Automation Hub: Announcing our ChatGPT Connector for Automation Hub
We're excited to announce the launch of a new connector and additional Transform modifiers for Contentstack Automation Hub, our no-code, visual workflow builder for automations and integrations. With these enhancements, we aim to provide even more powerful tools for your automation projects. The ChatGPT Connector brings the power of the popular artificial intelligence system to Automation Hub. This connector enables you to create automations that leverage ChatGPT's capabilities, such as extracting keywords or metadata from text, enhancing search engine optimization, or generating summaries of articles or text. By integrating ChatGPT, you can unlock new possibilities for your workflows and elevate the quality of your content. The ChatGPT Connector includes two actions: Chat: This uses the gpt-3.5-turbo model with its slightly different prompting interface to interact with ChatGPT. Prompt: This allows you to use previous models, such as text-davinci-003, text-curie-001 or others in Chat

What's New In Automation Hub: Announcing General Availability!
We are excited to announce the general availability of Automation Hub, an integrated automation and streamlining tool for the Contentstack platform. As we transition out of our Early Access phase, customers who were previously beta testing Automation Hub will be moved to our Explorer Plan, which offers up to 200 executions at no cost each month. Since Contentstack does not count additional usage for multi-step automations or charge extra for premium connectors, 200 executions is a generous allotment that can be used in production to help with critical but lower-frequency business tasks. Also, paid plans are available for those interested in additional usage of this valuable streamlining tool. Some highlights for the release include:The new JSON RTE Formatter connector streamlines the output of JSON RTE fields to work more efficiently with third-party integrations. Improved connector actions enable additional functionality. New actions to several connectors, such as publishing assets an

What's New in Automation Hub: New action types available for the Algolia connector
New Algolia events. We have added two new action types in the Algolia Automation Hub connector: delete and update. The “Delete Entries” action will delete indexed items in Algolia, whereas the “Update Entries” action will perform partial updates of existing items. Both new actions require you to pass an objectID in the payload to identify the item you want to delete or update.Algolia objectIDsAlgolia keeps track of entries based on their objectID, a unique ID that can be sent along with content or one will be automatically generated by Algolia when an item is indexed. When using these new actions, it is important to understand how the objectID is being created with your existing implementation of Algolia, so that you know where the objectID is stored and how to obtain it. The objectID is required to update or delete an existing entry in an Algolia index. There are a few different ways to get an objectID:If you do not pass an objectID to Algolia when indexing content, it will automatically g
What's New in Automation Hub: New JSON RTE Formatter Connector
The JSON Rich Text Editor provides many benefits for content producers, including the ability to keep content separated from presentational elements (like HTML or Markdown markup). However, the complex nested nature of the JSON output may not be supported by some external systems for the purpose of creating automations or integrations. So, we’ve created a new Automation Hub connector to help with this, the RTE Formatter, which is now available in the Automation Hub connector library. The RTE Formatter currently has two action types, “Format JSON RTE Content to HTML” and “Format JSON RTE Content to Text.”The first action, “Format JSON RTE Content to HTML,” will take the JSON data and output it as HTML, using the same library as our JSON RTE serializer for front-end display. The resulting HTML will be more beneficial for some external services which don’t readily understand JSON.The second action, “Format JSON RTE Content to Text,” performs a similar functionality in that it converts JSON
Blog: A look back at 2022 and advancing composable
With 2022 almost in the books, I would like to reflect on the past year of our product growth and the journey that we have taken with our customers. This year did not give us much time to celebrate battling back a global pandemic before testing our global economy yet again. Two once-in-a-generation disruptions have shown that being agile and staying in touch with customers is required to stay competitive. We recognized this back in 2011 when our parent company, Raw Engineering, pioneered headless CMS to better serve their clients. Contentstack and the whole composable movement was born out of a failure of old monolithic technologies to give teams the tools to meet the moment. Check out Conor Egan's 2022 recap blog
New search release broken?
Hi there,We’re enjoying the new entries functionality of being able to move and resize columns, however it looks like search has gone backwards in this release.Example. - when we search for a term (even an exact match term) the result set do not reflect the search term used. Refining it further to use content type does not have any effect on improving the result set.Anyone else experiencing this?ThanksTim
Query by URL across content types
A common use case in Contentstack is querying for a content entry by URL.If you have multiple possible content types, an efficient way of finding the right entry is via the GraphQL API. You simply query all the possible content types with the given URL and only the correct type will return a result. Here is an example of such a query:
What's New in Automation Hub: New Contentstack actions provide new automation opportunities
In order to more fully capture the capabilities offered by the Contentstack Content Management APIs, we are adding several new options in the Contentstack connector which may be needed for some use cases.New actions include: Publish Asset: Previously, a “Publish Entry” action was available, but we are now adding a similar action for assets as well. (Related documentation.) Unpublish Entry: Entries can now be unpublished based on a specific trigger. (Related documentation.) We hope these new actions open up lots of new use cases to help automate your workflows and save you time!Additionally, there are several additional options added to some of the Contentstack actions: In the “Update Entry” action, under “Show optional fields,” there is now a checkbox to “Include Branch” information. This option allows branch information to be included in the update. In the “Get single entry” action, there are several new options under “Show optional fields” which will show that specific informatio
What's New in Automation Hub: Add reference fields to Contentstack trigger payloads
On the Contentstack “Entry Trigger” in Automation Hub there is now the ability to add reference parameters to the trigger. This allows you to include reference field content in the payload information (usually done by adding an “include” parameter with the name of your reference field in the API call). This may be necessary when sending information to an external provider such as a search service in order to ensure that reference entries are included.Must provide the unique_id of the content type containing the reference field. Nested references must be typed: parent_content_type_uid.referenced_content_type_uid Note that this information is one-way in the payload of the trigger.Read more in our documentation. If you have any questions please let me know!
How to get an entry without knowing its content type
Hi,We have a complex website where entries for different content types can be created under any URL prefix. We’d like to know if it’s possible to get an entry via Delivery API / SDK based only in the URL. This is because, when a page is requested to the app, the frontend has no way to know which content type that entry belongs to, just its URL.We’ve seen examples, like in the starter app, where you know beforehand that any entry under /blogs url prefix will be of a known content type. Well, this is not our case, we can have a sitemap similar to this:http://myhomepage.com/info/abc http://myhomepage.com/info/defWhere /abc and /def can be entries based on any of our page content types. We checked the API documentation, but every endpoint returning entries requires the ‘content_type’ parameter. Thanks!
What do you think of the new UI?
As a Contentstack ‘superuser’ since mid-2019, i have been heavily involved with building and designing schema. That also means i’ve used the old UI a fair amount vs the new UI. I’d be interested to know if people have been using the new UI, what they like and what they think could be improved. Are there are any tricks you have encountered you would be willing to share?

What is the maximum amount of Automations and/or apps a single stack can have? You can have 50 projects with 50 automations in each, so technically 2500. However, the main limitation is the number of executions - we have a tiered pricing plan for that. Learn more about Automation Hub limitations here. The Developer Hub, Marketplace, Automation Hub... Are these features enabled yet? I only see Stacks and Org Settings. Some users are told they are not authorized to access. Those need to be enabled in your organization. Your can reach out to your Customer Success Manager/support team to request those features to be enabled as per your plan allowance.Additio
Hi, I am quite new in using in the new interface, but getting used to it. ;-) However, I am struggling a bit with the new Search. For our purpose, it very often is not specific enough. For example, looking for a registered user of our website who is using a gmail address, we would find any gmail users when looking for email@example.com. Another example: If I search for a text in a content block, get too many results,I am not able to specify my search by adding a second word. I will get the message “Cannot use multiple Text fields”. Do you have any plans to improve that behaviour?I miss the old fields on top of an individual content block whihc I found more intuitive. Thank you.

One advantage of MACH architecture is the ability to continue to grow and evolve your stack as your business needs change.Presumably you have already added a CMS, but what’s next? Personalization? eCommerce? Translations? I would love to discuss what’s next.
User stories: How can automations make your team more efficient and effective?
Hi everyone! I’m a PM here at Contentstack working on the new Automation Hub product. I would be really interested to hear more from anyone about any user stories you have surrounding automations. Do you employ any automations in your existing workflows? What tasks are you currently automating? Think about your current business processes related to content. Are there any repetitive tasks that could be automated? Can you identify any multi-step processes that could be streamlined? Are there any tasks currently performed by humans that could be made more consistent through automation? Humans sometimes forget things or make mistakes. :( Do you currently have any “middleware” (such lambda functions using web hooks) that helps automate workflows or integrations between vendors? Any other thoughts about the Automation Hub or automations in general? I would love to hear from you! Click on my profile and then use the “send message” button and let’s chat. Thanks in advance!!
